Party Animals!!

Here's a card I made using my stamp-a-majig! I've had this little magic tool for about 5 years and yet I'd never used it up until last night when I finally got tired of ruining 5 sheets of watercolor paper!! Oh well, live and learn - I have a new favorite tool!!

I just love these little characters!! They are so cute!! Note: You MUST own this set - and if and when you own it, you MUST mount the little characters separate from their sentiments - trust me!!! I didn't, and to not ink up the words is a pain in the neck!! trust me! lesson learned :) I think I might buy another set just to save myself the aggravation :)

Well, it was worth it in the end - I have embraced my Stamp-a-majig and THAT's a good thing :)

Thanks for visiting! Happy Friday!

  1. Great card! I was actually going to attempt something just like this yesterday! Maybe I will, you've got me inspired.

  2. I love this card! Here is what I do to omit the words - Put scotch tape on the words or image you do not want, ink up your stamp, take off the tape, stamp your image. You now have your image stamped without the words. I hope this helps.

  5. Fantabulous card! Love the dimension you were able to create and the water coloring. I concur that you should always mount words separate from the image.

Another tip for separating the sentiment and the image... microwave your wood mounted stamp for 15 seconds and then gently peel the stamp from the wood. Trim the sentiment and the image and then remount them to the wood separately. It's a bit of a sticky job, but it works.

  7. I love the layout. I considered mounting this set w/ the sentiments separated but felt they were too close together on some of the images. I did mount Fun & Fast Notes in the manner you suggested and love it - but there was more room between the two.BTW, you've been tagged - visit my blog ( www.staciestamps.com ) to see the details!!
