Happy OMG-It's-MY-first-release-countdown-day!!!

CardClose
(someone's already had waaay too much coffee)Smiley from millan.net but that's okay because today is Day One of sneak peeks for the cutest Taylored Expressions release yet!! (you have NO idea of the gorgeousness heading your way!!)

The first delicious stamp set we are featuring is called Love Everywhere, which is another beautiful set illustrated by the lovely Nancy McKinney.  I am SO in love with this set - every single stamp is absolutely divine and you will use it over and over I promise!!

Here's a look at the Heart Day Mail Set I created using just a couple of the stamps in this set:

HeartDay Set3SM
So today we wanted to come up with an easy and quick way to package a treat for Valentine's Day! As soon as I saw this adorable little mailbox stamp, I knew I had to try and come up with my very own mailbox treat holder to match:

Mailbox
This little mailbox is SO easy to make!  I used a 1 1/2" x 3" piece of Classic Red Prism cardstock to make my base, and for the top, I used a 3 3/4" x 3" piece scored 1/4" from both "long" edges.  I then added a small strip of 1/4" Sticky Tape to each scored edge and tucked them under to tape onto my base.  Inside this little box I tucked in a small Hershey Bar. (I added a tiny glue dot to the wrapper so that it would stay in place, in case you don't make a front for it)  I decorated my box with just a small strip of this stinkin' cute paper from the MY Mind's Eye Be Loved collection, and stamped my little arrow from Love Everywhere, (Isn't it cute how it works perfectly for my mailbox "flag"??), cut it out, and attached it to my box using a tiny heart brad, so it actually moves! lol...  I stamped my "Sending You Love" sentiment from the set and voila!  How easy was that??

Since I plan on making these little boxes for my son's class (yes ALL 33 of them!) I added a little "lid" just by tracing one end of the box onto a small piece of CS and adding a small "tab" to attach it to the inside of the box.  I am writing his classmates names on little "labels" made from my Choice Buttercream scraps, and adding them to the front! isn't that cuteness overload??  (all modesty aside, of course! *grin*)

Okay now if you want to go even easier than that, I made a candy-wrapper "case" to just quickly wrap a little bite-size candy bar in!

KitKat
I just used some more of this adorable paper, and measured the candy bar all around to get the size of my wrap.  I scored 1/4" on both sides so that the chocolate would easily fit into the sleeve (and it looks nicer too!). Of course, you can adjust the sizes to fit whichever candy bars you have on hand, but I decided to go with KitKats as they matched my paper purrrfectly!  (sadly, I'm not even kidding about this!! lol..)

I also made a card too complete my set of course!!

Card

Did you get a load of those adorable hearts on my card base???  I kid you not this is my new favorite background!! but wait to see what else you can do with it because "technically" it's not even a background stamp!!  SO gorgeous!  I basically did the same stamping as I did on the candy wrapper - I am so loving this sentiment and the fact that it balances the stamped mailbox so nicely, so I decided to keep them together for my main image by overlapping them onto my punched circle.

Do you just love these gorgeous stamps or what??  All I have to say is you have to see ALL of the images in this set! There is NO coloring to be done so you can just keep on stampin'!!  I actually did color in the red hearts in the center of the arrow and the mailbox, but I did so with my Red Smooch, so it's just for added bling!!

By the way, all of the products I used today are part of the Valentines Day Key Ingredients also being released on Thursday!!  You will be able to make TONS of cute projects with everything included! Is that cool or what??!Smiley from millan.net
