Isn't it a glorious day for romance??
It's official!!! It's release day at Taylored Expressions and we can finally reveal all of the wonderful new treats in store for you this month!!! OMG I just could not stand it one second longer - patience is SO NOT my thing !!
So today I have the most "stinkin' cutest" stamp set to show you - no seriously, wait until you see this!!! I shriek like a ten-year-old girl at a Jonas Brothers concert every time I look at this stamp set, I kid you not. This masterpiece is called Cuppie Love Scenes, and as soon as I saw it, I just had to recreate my very own version of a love story like no other - I bring you... (drumroll please..)
Casablanca Cuppie
Could you just flip out right now?? (don't say I didn't warn you!!)
As soon as I saw this stamp I just knew I had to try recreating the magic of love in black and white movies, and so I grabbed my Copics and got to work! Can you believe this is the one time that I used only THREE markers to get an image colored?(usually I use each and every marker I own! lol..) but for this I only needed to use C-1, C-3, and C-5! I stamped my image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Choice buttercream cardstock, and then layered that panel onto my Island Medium Prism Cardstock, I punched both sides of the cardstock with my Fiskars Leave it to Weaver Border Punch (I thought it gave it the movie reel look!) and mounted it to my card base using dimensionals.
Did you see those cute little embellishments on my card?? I was lucky enough to be amongst the first to try the NEW Frameabilities and Clay buttons that the lovely and mega-talented Jamie Pyles created exclusively for Taylored Expressions. These wonderful creations are the perfect "final touch" to pretty up your projects! The best part is, you can get your hands on them now at the store!
Okay so you can't go to the movies and NOT have popcorn right?
well, I certainly can't so I made this popcorn box to match my card! I really just wanted an excuse to focus on the little popcorn-eating cuppies, and to get to play with some more of this delicious "Be Loved" paper from My Mind's Eye. I stamped my cuppies onto Choice Buttercream CS and made the labelholder using my fancy new Spellbinders Dies. I used a piece of white twill ribbon from my Valentine Key Ingredients to secure the labelholder onto my popcorn box, and voila! all done, and so much fun!
All of the cardstock and patterned papers I used today are from the Valentine Key Ingredients Kit, which is also being released today - this is one you do not want to miss!
I hope you're ready to craft your own love story today! You must visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some delicious eye candy using this fun new set!
