SantyOwl is comin' to town!

XmasOwlforyouCl

and he's bringing sweets just for you!

I am so happy to be celebrating my first "official" month as an OddBird :) and that just means I get to have lots of fun playing with new rubbah!  I decided to dress up this little cupcake owl with a "Santy Hat" for a quick (and I mean quick!!) Christmas card.  I LOVE how fun and whimsical these stamps are  - they really make it SO easy!

I added a couple of little scrolls using Hologram Highlights embossing powder for a bit of bling, and I colored in my little Owl with Copics - I had to be careful and not over-blend too much since I didn't want the color to bleed inside (have to remind myself to keep that in mind when doing 1-layer cards!) but luckily the images are so cute they don't need too much fussing! I also added some liquid applique to the his hat brim & pom-pom, and that was it!! .. so fun!

I can definitely see this as a great card to make lots of!  What an easy, fun way to share the love this Holiday season!  (you can definitely change the colors to make it less "Christmasy" too!  How about some blues for the winter??)  the possibilities are endless.. I'm off to try some more!

Thanks so much for checking in - I have lots more fun stuff to share so stay tuned!

Smoochies!

  4. Wow. Great job doing a one layer card (which is so difficult for me)! I love all the glittery and textural accents.

  5. He looks great with his hat! I have a few of the hats, and I'm surprised at how much I use them. This card is very classy and boutique-ish.
