Hello sugarmuffins!! Welcome to another fun-filled
hosted by Taylored Expressions!! Yay!!
I'm so excited to be playing along with many of our fellow & always
fabulous TE fans!! Today we are showin' off many of our previously released stamp sets (up until April '2010) so get ready to
fall in love all over again as we share some of our favorites!
For my card today, I used the sketch that the lovely Sankari made up for today's Blog
Hop:
This sketch was a great starting point, and I just loved how it
worked perfectly for the image I wanted to use!
Isn't it delish?? As you can see I got down and dirty with some major distressing and it totally rocked my world! I feel better already, and Lord knows it's been a rough week! (and yes, It's only Tuesday! lol..)
Of course, I just HAD to ink up my Discover Your Wings stamp set, it's definitely one of my absolute favorites!!
For my card I used some delicious patterned paper by Webster's Pages. Could you just spit at the sheer gorgeousness??? I KNOW. to die for!! so anyhoo, I used my Ranger Walnut distress ink on all my panels and used a distressing tool on all of my patterned paper. For my border strip I used my Round Binding Edger Punch, which by the way, is the coolest binding shape I've seen. loooove it!
I colored the butterfly on my image panel using Copic Markers, and then I cut out my second layer that I stamped onto vellum and added to my image panel using a small glue dot. I embellished my image panel with some sponging and a few little rhinestones! I finished up my card using some gorgeous satin ribbon, and voila! Isn't it puuurdy???? sigh...
Heavens, as you can see I have no regard for everyone else on the hop, I'm just here yapping away!! Please visit all of these lovely ladies for tons of inspiration and be sure to play along with out next Blast from the Past Blog hop to win some yummy stamps!!
Thanks for visiting me today & have fun hoppin'!!
Smooches,
Alex
