It's finally here!! Release Day!! YAY!!
I have the huge honor of being featured in the Taylored Expressions newsletter, so if this is your first time chez moi, and thank you to everyone for visiting!! I am so excited to finally be able to show you our newest Apple Doodle Ink Stamp set!! and it gets even better because this one is ALL about Coffee!! YUM!!! okay, no more stalling!!
I give you, Let's Do Coffee!!
For my project today I decided to make a an altered book for my friend and partner in scrapbooking crime :), and as you can see, I am definitely going green because I used Coffee Cup Sleeves to make it! how cool is that??
I have to confess I may have swiped an extra one or two sleeves along with my latest Venti Frapp , but then I felt guilty so I bought a scone too.. you know to boost the economy & stuff..sigh..
Seriously though, I love re-using & altering all sorts of stuff and I LOVE using my stamps in my scrapbooks, so this was definitely a fun way to use my Let's do Coffee stamp set!
Here are some pictures of the pages in which I use more wonderful images from my stamp set:
On my cover page I sealed the bottom using sticky tape so I could make it into a pocket. My "tag" will serve as a little invitation so we can make a coffee date! On the back of the tag I am attaching a gift card for her favorite coffee shop. On my cover I used one of the wonderful phrases included in the set, along with the frame stamp from our new CreativiTea stamp set. I embellished my cover using a gorgeous little sheer butterfly and one of these cute little cups from Let's Do Coffee which I stamped, paper-pieced and mounted to my cover using foam squares.
Here's a look at a couple more pages:
As you can see, these are just little simple "layouts" that are perfect for small snapshots or little notes! All of my images are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and I distressed everything in this little book using Ranger distress inks. All of the patterned papers used in my book are from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Mini Deck. I am soo in love with those papers, they are absolutley delish, and I loved the way the bright colors were toned down so beautifully with the rich browns in the distressing ink.
Here is my back cover of the book:
I tore a small piece of the sleeve off so that you could see some of the corrugated cardboard when the book is closed. I went ahead and added another fabulous sentiment included in the stamp set, just to thank her for being such an awesome buddy! As you can see, I also mixed in a little blue ink on some of my elements when distressing along with the brown - I feel it gives a nice variation of color, and it's an easy way to incorporate colors that are present in your overall "theme", so that it all looks pulled together! I just love the grungy look of this!
Of course once I was done with my book, I couldn't resist making a little matching container for my gift set!!
I took one of our Tea Tins, and made it into a coordinating Coffee Canister! She can use this to tote some of her favorite coffee to work - is that stinkin' cute or what?? My image panel is cut using my Labels 9 Nesties, and the image is colored using Copic Markers.
So do you looove all the cute images?? This set has everything from fun sentiments to the cutest collection of cups and mugs ! I love that it's so versatile, and the gifts and "any occasion" cards you can make with it will make this stamp set an absolute must-have!!
