It's almost Turkey Time!!! YaY!

I am SO looking forward to hanging out and getting lots of pictures to scrap! I must confess, the actual turkey I can do without, I'm just not a big fan, but I'm still going to tackle it just to keep the masses happy (and fed of course.)  I'll be sticking to the good stuff of course!  Piesmiley1
(don't worry, I'll be sorry later) :)

Anyway, can you believe that I bought this adorable "I'm Stuffed" set from CDS for my Thanksgiving cards, and I completely forgot I had it!! I swear, I'm losing it! I've been running around like a mad-woman between school meetings, fundraisers, hockey practices, games...you name it!! sheer madness, I tell ya!! so I just found it yesterday and I made a couple of cards to go with the little teacher gifts I made - how stinkin' cute is he?? OMG!! could you just die?

Now, I know it's a little late for mailing cards, BUT you can always use it next year AAAAND  the best part is you can use it in your scrapbooks!!  I have and idea for the cutest layout using this little guy, so I will definitely be sharing that one soon!

I wanted to make him a little "chic" so I paper-pieced his feathers by stamping directly onto the Ginger Blossoms DSP (Designer Series Paper)  and cut the pieces out to layer onto my image.  The head and body are colored with Copics. I then layered that piece onto the image panel using dimensionals.  That's it! Easy huh?  All of the layers are sponged with a mix of Walnut and Vintage Photo Ranger distress ink.  I stamped the background (caramel) panel with an adorable text background stamp which is also included in the same set along with a little leaf (also included) which I stamped in caramel and cocoa inks.

Super quick and so fun too!! Here's one turkey I am definitely liking!!!

I hope your preparations are in full swing and as always, thanks for visiting :)
