Please bear with me, it appears I've ingested one too many lattes this morning and already I'm coming up with every corny joke in the book while waiting for my Peapod order to come in.. I just love those peapod guys.. I mean, how heavenly is it to get your groceries delivered!!! ahhhh.. No lines, no schlepping around bags - nothing!! Clap

Anyhoo, back to my card for today!  When I say, how stinkin' cute is this - I mean it literally!! Is this skunk not the cutest evah??!! He is from the CDS Cute Critters stamp set, which, by the way, has several adorable little animals!  This one happens to be my favorite, but it's so nice that you have several animals to choose from!!
I paired him with a sentiment from the Christian Critters set.  Now wouldn't this just bring a smile to someone feeling not so cheery?? I think so!

I wasn't sure if this might look a little too "Christmasy" but I really just liked the pattern, and the garden feel of it, so I'm hoping it's okay!  I added little tiny vellum butterflies (with a touch of glitter on them) and is that flower not gorgeous by the way?? They are one of my favorite new finds! it is from the Petaloo Dahlia Flowers red & green collection.  I have quite a few of these sets and I highly recommend them - the colors are so rich and blended, you must try them if you haven't already!!

Okay enough with my commercials  - I swear I'm not getting commission (I just LOOOVe this stuff!!)  :)

Back to my stinky card! I colored the flower and the skunk using Copics and added some glitter to the "white" parts), and punched the scallop border using my Fiskars Embossing Daisy punch. There you have it!  Not too shabby, I hope!  I have to admit, I wasn't too thrilled with the actual card base  - I rarely make my cards with white CS, and I think I finally figured out why!! It seems as though the CS is just not heavy enough.. anybody notice this too??  I'll keep that in mind next time, but I really like this one, so it's staying :)

Thanks for checking in, I hope you like my little stinker!

  2. love, love, LOVE it babe!!! Yes, Whisper white has become enemy number one. I was so frustrated for the same reasons. I switched to Papertrey Ink White (110 lb wt) and it is the best thing since sliced bread!!! It makes Whisper White feel like copy paper, putting it to shame!! I wonder how I ever lived without it! And with a hundred sheets for a nominal price, how can you go wrong...?! You should check it out. I just love what you're doing with the CDS! They are adorable. I'm going to have to drop some $$$ now because of my fave enabler! Love you! Big smoochies your BASBFF, Jennjenn
